Papi Chulo's opening in Tinseltown area

Papi Chulo’s Tacos & Tequilas plans to open Sept. 24 in the Tinseltown area at the address of the former Taste Food Studio at 9726 Touchton Road, Suite 105.

Papi Chulo’s is a new concept. It joined Facebook on July 28 and describes its food styles as brunch, Latin American and Mexican. It will be open for lunch, dinner and drinks.

Attire is casual and the restaurant will take reservations as well as welcome walk-ins. “Good For Groups, Good For Kids,” the Facebook page says.

The menu features specialty and “Papa’s Street” tacos, burritos and bowls; enchiladas; dinner specialties; salads; small plates; guacamoles; ceviche; sides; desserts; and more.

Taste 1 Group registered the Papi Chulo’s name with the state Sept. 10. Chris Dallo is the managing member of Taste 1 Group, which registered in October 2012.

Taste Food Studio opened in January 2013 at the site of the former Urban Flats Restaurant & Wine Bar.

Chris Dallo was an operating partner of Taste Food Studio, which occupied a 6,000-square-foot space, plus a 2,560-square-foot patio. It seated about 200 diners inside and about 150 outside. It also had a private room for events.

Taste specialized in high-end made-from-scratch food focused on global cuisine and American favorites along with a full bar.
