Senor Loco Tacos & Tequila is building out a restaurant in Baymeadows Park.
The city issued a permit July 19 for Skyline Construction Inc. to improve 3,854 square feet of space at 9347 Baymeadows Road, Unit 101, at a cost of $655,856.
The work comprises the restaurant build-out with a walk-in cooler and freezer. Plans show interior dining, bar seating and outdoor seating.
The state Department of Business and Professional Regulation shows a 193-seat restaurant in about 3,850 square feet of space.
Joyce Development Group is the developer of Baymeadows Park on the site of the former Baymeadows Golf Club.
It is the third location. The first two are at 4549 Southside Blvd. in Jacksonville and Indian Harbour Beach.
Blanca Valencia is the owner and agent, according to the permit.
Salsas Mexican Restaurant founders Jesus and Blanca Valencia registered Senor Loco of Baymeadows Corp. for the Baymeadows Park address with the state in January 2021.
Their concepts include Anejo Cocina Mexicana restaurants and 904 Street Tacos and Cantina.
