The University of North Florida’s Coggin College of Business will offer Master of Business Administration classes and Master of Science in Management courses in the spring term at its Downtown location.

A news release states that students will have access to the classroom space and other study areas at the UNF Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation in The Barnett Building at 112 W. Adams St., making it convenient for people working in the urban core.

The MBA and MSM courses are designed for young or seasoned professionals interested in developing skills by obtaining a graduate-level business degree or certificate, according to a news release.

Courses will be offered with options for in-person, telepresence or online engagement.

UNF’s MBA program is targeted to employees with a business undergraduate degree seeking to expand their business skills and continue advancing in their career.

UNF said the curriculum focuses on developing a general management perspective and knowledge of the skills required to manage effectively in a rapidly changing and increasingly technical and global environment.

Candidates may qualify with an undergraduate degree in business from an AACSB-accredited institution with a 3.0 or higher GPA in their most previous 60 credit hours or a master’s degree or higher.

The MSM program is designed for people with a nonbusiness undergraduate degree seeking foundational knowledge to expand their business skills and continue advancing in their career, according to UNF.

Candidates may qualify if their undergraduate GPA is at least 3.0 in their most previous 60 credit hours. If their undergraduate GPA is under 3.0, a statement of purpose and three letters of recommendation may be submitted for admission consideration.

For companies that offer employees tuition assistance or reimbursement, tuition may be paid at the end of the term with a UNF deferred payment option.

The application deadline is Dec. 21 for spring classes.
