The KB Home Studio on San Jose Blvd. was the scene of a festive kickoff party that launched the second annual KB Home/ United Way of Northeast Florida Toy Drive. The celebration included prizes and refreshments and featured a live radio remote.

Representatives of the United Way stood by to accept donations while listeners of the radio station and KB Home employees and their families dropped off new un-wrapped toys.

Even passing motorists got into the spirit of giving as they drove by and returned back to the Studio with their donations. One father and his young daughter, who were leaving a nearby Wal-Mart, heard the broadcast and returned to the store to purchase toys for this charitable effort.

Jaxson De Ville, the popular team mascot of the Jacksonville Jaguars, also visited.
