KB Home presented $88,000 to the Northeast Florida Builders Association Builders Care program through the successful completion of the 2004 Home From the Heart project.
As the sponsor of this year’s Home From the Heart initiative, KB Home built a 1,691-square-foot home with support from several area business partners who donated time and materials.
The Adams Lake 1691 is one of KB Home’s most popular floorplans and includes several design options such as volume ceilings, an upgraded master bathroom, upgraded Whirlpool appliances, a covered patio, full sod with a zoned irrigation system and much more.
“We are very proud of everyone’s effort in making this project a reality,” said Vince DePorre, division president of KB Home Jacksonville. “It was a true team endeavor involving the dedicated employees at KB Home and the spirited support of our partners.”
KB Home has donated to and assisted with many Builders Care projects.
“To quantify this kind of donation, we are looking at 560 water heaters or 11,666 carpenter hours; 20,000 bundles of roof shingles or 1,272 windows; 14,000 gallons of paint or electrical and plumbing work for hundreds of homes,” said Bill Wilson, executive director of Builders Care. “We know this donation will result in a better life for so many in Jacksonville who are in great need. This is an incredible commitment by KB Home.”
