The latest gadgets and gizmos, advice from leading real estate trainers and a chance to network with other real estate professionals: It’s business as usual at the Florida Association of Realtors’ 2004 Convention & Trade Expo, with a bonus benefit: this year, newcomers to the real estate industry can take advantage of FAR’s new “Rookie Track,” offering special education sessions designed to answer their questions and help them jumpstart their careers.
Taking place Aug. 18-22 at the Renaissance Orlando Resort, the 88th annual convention offers real estate professionals new ways to enhance their real estate business through the best technology tools, sales and marketing practices, business models and other industry-specific information. The event also gives participants the chance to glean advice from leading real estate trainers and to network with colleagues.
Top industry speakers including Jim Pugliese, Gene Rivers, Steven David and Reeta Casey will offer insight into current trends in the real estate market, with more than 20 educational sessions scheduled during the convention.
Topics include tips on how to increase business from top-producing practitioners, a look at the “best practices” of leading real estate companies, strategies to develop a successful closing, suggestions for developing international business and the fundamentals of commercial real estate brokerage.
More than 2,000 Realtors from across the state are expected to attend the convention.
Some of the other highlights are the Trade Expo, where real estate vendors demonstrate the latest products at more than 150 booths; the Super Sales Day/Annual Awards Luncheon, featuring juggler, gymnast and motivational speaker Dan Thurmon, who blends a strong corporate message with humor and entertainment; a Luau at SeaWorld; and the Election Night Dance and Celebration.
For more information on how to register for the FAR convention, members should call 1-800-669-4327 or register online through Planet Realtor at http://media.living.net/2004convention/index.html.
FAR is offering free computer training for convention attendees. Each class is limited to 10 registrants. Courses require prior knowledge of Windows.
