Representatives from the main sponsors of the WJCT / Harmony Homes / VyStar Auction House 2005 recently welcomed the home’s new owners, the Vallejo family, at a gathering to recognize the homebuyer and corporate partners who participated in the project.
The Vallejo family placed the winning bid for the Auction House 2005, whose sale generated proceeds exceeding $75,000, which will help support WJCT Public Television.
The Auction House — a 1,510 square-foot, three-bedroom, two-bathroom design — was sold for $161,000 during the 42nd Annual Great WJCT Television Auction. Additionally, the house features ceramic tile flooring in the foyer and a kitchen with open bartop. The home also includes a fully sodded landscaping package, Sinclair cabinetry, window treatments, and marble vanities in the owner’s bath.
The auction was held June 4-6 and 11-13.
The Auction House 2005 is the third time in six years that Harmony Homes has partnered with WJCT to provide prospective homebuyers the opportunity to purchase a brand new home and support public broadcasting.
Harmony Homes and the trade partners involved in the Auction House project worked to keep on schedule and to have the home ready in time for the live on-air auction. Upon completion, the home was auctioned and proceeds — selling price minus building cost — were donated directly to WJCT Public Television. Individual donations to the public television station were accepted as well.
