Mercedes Homes has sold nearly 40 percent of the available homes in Academy. The townhomes are priced from the mid-$130s. Mercedes Homes is building three Craftsman-style floor plans in the community, including the Preston, Lauren and Taylor designs.
There will be 58 residences on two cul de sacs in the North Jacksonville community. Some homeowners have already moved into their new homes.
The Preston floor plan is a 1,526-square-foot home with three bedrooms and two-and-a-half bathrooms. The first floor features a living room and dining room, a kitchen and a half-bath. Upstairs, homeowners have three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a functional hall area with space for a washer and dryer.
The Lauren design is slightly smaller and has a different configuration on the second floor. With two bedrooms and two-and-a-half bathrooms, the Lauren features 1,183 square feet.
The Taylor floor plan, a three-bedroom design, is a 1,500-square-foot townhome featuring three upstairs bedrooms and two-and-a-half bathrooms.
