Standard Pacific Homes’ Jacksonville division will match funds raised by Duval County’s high school booster clubs. Standard Pacific bought Coppenbarger Homes last year and 18 Duval County schools have the opportunity to receive up to $500 for their booster clubs.

“This company, its people and our work is here,” said Ron Coppenbarger, leader of the Standard Pacific Jacksonville division. “Our commitment not only to our customers, but to our community will continue as we grow within the First Coast region.”

Funds raised by the booster clubs go towards each school’s general athletic department fund. Since the booster clubs are nonprofit organizations, they depend heavily on fundraisers and donations. These funds help schools acquire equipment needed for their programs that are not specifically provided by the school board.

Standard Pacific’s contribution to the Duval County schools will be presented May 23rd at the monthly principals’ and athletic meeting to be held in Mandarin at the Ramada Inn.

Coppenbarger, who sold his company to Standard Pacific recently, is a former pro football player.
