A private benefactor’s party was held recently to thank sponsors of Trident Realty’s Moonlight Martinis.
The party, held at the Marsh Landing home of honorary event chairpersons Maxine McBride and Roger Postlethwaite, offered sponsors an opportunity to learn more about the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s efforts to find a cure for cystic fibrosis. About 80 guests were treated to valet parking, gourmet cuisine and the opportunity to meet and mingle with this year’s sponsors.
The event is Oct. 22 from 8-11 p.m. at the Plantation Beach Club in Ponte Vedra Beach and will be presented by Clockwork Marketing Services and LandMar Group. Stokes/Braren, Pineapple Corp. and PGA Tour.
The party was highlighted by 36-year-old Claire Postlethwaite’s speech about her experiences as an adult living with cystic fibrosis. Guests also learned about the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, which is one of the most efficient charitable organizations in the United States with 91 cents of every dollar targeted towards research and programs in the effort to find a cure for cystic fibrosis.
“The number of sponsors for this year’s Moonlight Martinis has dramatically increased from years past and we are currently at almost $100,000 in sponsorships,” said McBride. “That amount goes a long way towards reaching this year’s fund raising goal of $120,000.”
Another highlight of the evening was the unveiling of the 1.57 total carat weight, white gold and diamond necklace created and donated by Gregory’s Jewelers. The necklace will be used for a prize drawing the evening of the event. Only 250 tickets for an opportunity to win the necklace are available at $50 each. The winner will receive the necklace valued at $4,900.
