The Northeast Florida Builders Association Remodelors Council has been selected for a pilot program to help promote membership at the local level. The Local Council Road Show, created by the National Association of Home Builders Remodelors Council and is sponsored by Pella, will visit Jacksonville Feb. 16.
“This local council has tremendous potential,” said 2006 Remodelors Council National Chairman Vince Butler. “We are very excited to tap into the talent and resources of these local builders and remodelors.”
The road show is a two-day program.
“Jacksonville is indeed fortunate to be among the cities chosen for the Local Road Show,” said Frank Rodgers of Finial Custom Builders and chair of NEFBA’s Remodelors Council. “Not only will there be an opportunity for local council members to meet with national leaders, but the educational program is geared to all remodeling companies - large and small, and should be a great benefit to remodelors who want to increase profits.”
The first day, Feb. 15, is for local council leadership and staff. Working with national leadership, they will discuss the tools and techniques to increase membership to the council.
The next day is “Take the Road to Higher Profits.” There, Butler and Alan Hanbury Jr., both nationally known instructors and industry leaders, will teach “Planning Your Way to Profit” and “Overhead, Margin, and Markup.” These two sessions are open to the public and teach business essentials to help keep a company’s profits moving in the right direction.
“This will be a great event. Vince and Alan are national leaders, and we have much to learn from their business expertise,” said Larry Murr of Lawrence Murr Inc. and former NEFBA and FHBA Remodelors Council chair. “This is a great opportunity for all of us to not only hone in our business skills but showcase the benefits of being a member of the NEFBA and NAHB Remodelors Councils.”
