Over 20 booths from builders and developers lined the walls for the May Sales and Marketing Council breakfast, a twist to the normal monthly meeting of council members of the organization in Northeast Florida.
Following a shortened series of announcements, discussions and recognitions of April sales winners, attendees were encouraged to network with the various organizations that set up displays for the event that was attended by over 300 people.
Afterward, prizes were handed out to those whose names were drawn at each booth after depositing their business card in a bucket. Each booth had separate prizes to give, ranging from dance lessons to gift cards to wine baskets and more.
The big winner of the day was Amy Johnson, whose business card was drawn six different times by six of the booths. Johnson’s haul included $100 in cash and numerous gift cards to steakhouses, outlet malls and coffee houses.
“I can’t believe it,” said Johnson, whose name kept getting called to the shock and laughter of those around her. “I guess it’s my lucky day.”
Johnson’s friend Connie Owen laughed, but didn’t walk away empty-handed herself. Owen was the recipient of two $100 steakhouse gift cards.
“Unbelievable,” Owen said with a smile after looking at all the loot Johnson and she had won.
