• The JAX Chamber and Building America’s Future Educational Fund will host the Transportation Infrastructure Forum from 8-10 a.m. Jan. 5 at the Hyatt Downtown. Former Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell, co-chair of the educational fund, is the keynote speaker. The forum will be moderated by Florida Rep. Lake Ray and include a discussion about transportation infrastructure challenges. Panelists include Jacksonville Port Authority CEO Paul Anderson, Jacksonville Transportation Authority CEO Michael Blaylock and Jacksonville Aviation Authority CEO Steve Grossman. • Friday Musicale’s Scholarship Laureates will perform at Friday Musicale in Riverside at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. The Scholarship Laureates will perform works by Bach, Krommer, Ernest Bloch, André Bloch, Beethoven and Prokofiev. The concert is free and open to the public. Performers include clarinetist Brandon Mosley (University of North Florida), violinist Likai He (Columbus State University), clarinetist Elisa Gentry (Florida State University), flutist Allison Watkins (FSU) and pianist Matthew Young (Oberlin College and Conservatory). • The staff of 121 Financial Credit Union hosted a Christmas party for the residents of the Florida Baptist Children’s Home, a faith-based nonprofit that serves abused, neglected and orphaned children. Employees and departments “adopted” a child, supplying the items on the child’s Christmas wish list. In addition, 121 Financial donated two bicycles to each of the home’s cottages for use by all of the children.
