• Former Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback David Garrard and his wife, Mary Knox Garrard, sold their Glen Kernan Golf & Country Club home to Satyaprakash and Jennifer Krishnarao for almost $1.85 million. The deed was signed on Dec. 9 and recorded with the Duval County Clerk’s Office Dec. 14. The document shows the Garrards’ address is in Pennsylvania. The Garrards bought the house for $2.9 million in March 2008. Krishnarao is an executive with Xorail.

• Jersey Mike’s Subs, the chain that started in 1956 in New Jersey, will open in Jacksonville. The City issued a building permit for tenant work of 1,600 square feet of space for Jersey Mike’s at 4261 Roosevelt Blvd., No. 3, by Ticon Inc. at a permit cost of $40,000. More than 500 Jersey Mike’s Subs operate across the country. Jersey Mike’s Subs declined comment.

• Among other building permits: McArdle Construction Services LLC will build out space for Medifast Weight Control Centers at 11111 San Jose Blvd. at a cost of $69,000; D.S. Killian Roof & General Contractors is handling a roofing project at 4920 Brentwood Ave., the site of Holy Rosary Catholic School, at a cost of $52,000; RJ Vinas Construction LLC will handle a roofing project at 330 W. State St. for Titus Harvest Dome at a project cost of $30,000; and Ticon Inc. will make tenant improvements at 4261 Roosevelt Blvd., No. 1, for a mattress store at a cost of $35,000.

• The Jan. 26 Republican presidential primary debate now has a venue: the University of North Florida, according to Republican Party of Florida. Chairman Lenny Curry tweeted the information Monday and the party issued a news release. No time has been announced. The debate is co-sponsored by the Republican Party of Florida and Hispanic Leadership Network and will air internationally on CNN. The debate is expected to be the final televised debate before Florida Republicans head to the polls on Jan. 31.
