• Brian Coughlin was named partner to the Bedell, Dittmarr, DeVault, Pillans & Coxe firm. He has been with the firm for five years and practices in the area of criminal defense in state and federal courts. Coughlin received his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan in 2000 and law degree from the University of Florida in 2003.
• Gov. Rick Scott recently appointed Matthew Cline to the Seventh Circuit Judicial Nominating Comission. Cline, of St. Augustine, has been the general counsel for the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office since 2009 and is a former prosecutor for the Seventh Circuit State Attorney’s Office. He received a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Florida before earning his law degree from Florida Coastal School of Law. His term began Wednesday and will end July 1, 2016.
