The Nocatee master-planned community in St. Johns County said it planned to start construction this week of a zipline over the community’s Splash Water Park, similar to the concept image. The zipline will start on the top platform of the Rip Tide Slide Tower, cross over the park’s lazy river and volleyball courts and end on the park’s western side. The PARC Group, Nocatee’s master developer, expects the 300-foot-long zipline to open by the end of July. It is the latest addition to Nocatee’s recreational amenities, which include nature trails, parks, sports facilities, fitness clubs, children’s playgrounds and more. Ziplines are elevated cable rides that zip harnessed riders downward. Nocatee’s zipline is being built by Vertical Reality.
