Russian delegates tour city, visit RS&H

Jacksonville-based Reynolds, Smith and Hills Inc. hosted a breakfast and presentation for administration officials from the City of Murmansk, Russia, as part of their visit to Jacksonville during the Sister Cities International annual conference last week. The Sister Cities International 2012 Annual Conference was held at the Hyatt Downtown. A group of Russian delegates represented the City of Murmansk. One stop on a city tour included a visit to the RS&H engineering company. Lisa Robert (left, at the head of the table), RS&H vice president of transportation, led a presentation about the firm’s history, project experience and business practices typical to the U.S. industry. Her team of transportation professionals briefed the foreign contingent about the design-build process; project selection criteria, such as scoring and price; engineering consulting; public-private partnerships; and gave an overall explanation of the Better Jacksonville Plan referendum.
