DESC serves Duval, Nassau and Clay counties.

In 2011, more than 14,100 households were assisted.
Biggest challenge
There are always more requests for aid than our agency can provide: too much poverty in our city.
Biggest satisfaction
The wonderful staff and volunteers who look at this work as a “ministry,” not a “job.” It’s what has kept me here for 27 years.
