Marty Lanahan, North Florida area president of Regions Financial Corp., has been named West Florida area president and will be based in Tampa, according to a Regions news release.
Lanahan will lead banking operations in Tampa, Clearwater, St. Petersburg, Sarasota, Bradenton, Fort Myers and Naples. She has led the North Florida area since 2007.
She joined Regions in 1999 after a banking career that began with Atlantic Bank and First Union.
Tony Stiffler, area president of Central Florida, will lead all banking operations in an area that was expanded to include the Jacksonville and Tallahassee markets in addition to those in Orlando, Ocala, Melbourne and Daytona.
Stiffler will continue to be based in Orlando, according to the release.
The announcements are part of Regions’ restructuring into three geographic areas.
The south area consists of Alabama, South Louisiana, Mississippi and the Florida Panhandle.
The east area consists of the remainder of Florida, east Tennessee, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia.
The mid-America area consists of middle and west Tennessee, Texas, north Louisiana, Missouri, Arkansas, Indiana, Kentucky, Illinois and Iowa.
