In an ongoing effort to encourage civility and collegiality in the 4th Judicial Circuit, The Jacksonville Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Section hosted a Judicial Breakfast on Thursday at the Duval County Courthouse.

The program was created to provide a social atmosphere where lawyers can interact with judges outside of the courtroom.

Thursday’s breakfast had a Halloween theme, with homemade pumpkin muffins and bags filled with candies decorating the conference table.

Young Lawyers section members Jennifer Kifer and Sarah Anderson, law clerks for the U.S. Middle District, organized the event.

The Young Lawyers Section helps attorneys new to the 4th Circuit familiarize themselves with the area through its “Afternoon at the Courthouse” program from 1-5 p.m. Nov. 20 at the Duval County Courthouse. The free seminar was developed to acquaint attorneys with the courthouse and receive guidance from local judges and practitioners.
