McDonald's to rebuild in Jacksonville Beach

McDonald's intends to rebuild its restaurant at 51 S. Third St. in Jacksonville Beach.

Plans filed with the St. Johns River Water Management District show McDonald's USA LLC of Tampa wants to replace the existing one-story building with a new McDonald's restaurant. The site is less than 1 acre.

CPH Engineers Inc. is the agent.

Hurricane Grill & Wings expanding

The City approved a $100,000 expansion for Hurricane Grill & Wings at 1615 Hendricks Ave., No. 1.

Ferguson Construction Inc. is the contractor for the project, which will add 1,500 square feet of space and 52 more seats by expanding into adjacent space.

Plans show the expanded restaurant will offer 132 seats in 4,292 square feet of space.

Waffle House on the way to Arlington

The City approved plans for construction and for signs for Waffle House Inc. to build a restaurant in Arlington at 7652 Merrill Road.

East Coast Waffle House Inc. is the owner.

Plans show construction of a 1,635-square-foot, $210,000 restaurant.

The four signs, totaling $3,000, comprise a ground sign and three wall signs.
