Cenveo Inc. is planning to close its envelope plant in Jacksonville at 5406 W. First St., according to a letter filed with the state along with its Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification.
Stamford, Conn.-based Cenveo filed the WARN notice Monday saying it would cut 133 jobs at the facility, but company officials did not respond to requests for more information.
The letter from a regional director of human resources for Cenveo said the company will close the envelope manufacturing plant between April 25 and May 30.
In addition to the 133 permanent employees, another 28 workers hired through temporary staffing firms will also be affected, the letter said.
Cenveo also operates a label and packaging plant in Jacksonville at 136 Eastport Rd., according to its website.
According to its annual report, Cenveo operated 48 manufacturing facilities in North America and India in its print and envelope segment. It operated 15 facilities in the U.S. and Latin America in its label and packaging division.
The company reported revenue of $1.3 billion and an adjusted net loss from continuing operations of $14.5 million in the first nine months of 2013.
