The committee behind Gov. Rick Scott’s re-election effort posted $3.1 million in contributions for December, updating its campaign numbers on Friday to indicate almost $2.1 million brought in since Dec. 19.

The latest numbers for the Tallahassee-based “Let’s Get to Work” bring the committee’s total contributions to around $22.9 million for the year.

Among the big late December contributors for Scott were: Associated Industries of Florida’s Voice of Florida Business PAC, $375,000; the Florida Retail Federation’s Grocery Council PAC, $125,000; and the Florida Chamber of Commerce Alliance ECO, $200,000.

Meanwhile, the “Charlie Crist for Florida” committee has posted $727,000 in contributions for December, attracting nearly $3 million since Crist entered the race as a Democrat in November.

The committees have five days to post contributions online,
