Fresh Market is turning its attention to the inside of its new store under construction in the Riverside-Brooklyn area.

The city approved the build-out Tuesday for Fresh Market at the new Shoppes on Riverside.

Fresh Market will renovate the interior of the shell structure at 211 Riverside Ave. at a project cost of $772,600. J. Raymond Construction Corp. is the contractor for the 25,267-square-foot project.

So far, five buildings either are under construction or in review for the Shoppes on Riverside. A sixth is shown on site plans for future development. One of the five is for Corner Bakery.

The center is a joint venture of Regency Centers Corp. and Fuqua Development. Regency announced in October it would develop the 49,870-square-foot retail project, expecting to invest about $14.7 million in development and construction.

BurgerFi to open at The Markets at Town Center

BurgerFi is closer to opening its first Jacksonville restaurant.

Skyline Construction Inc. was approved to renovate space at The Markets at Town Center for the burger chain. It’s a $250,000 interior build-out.

BurgerFi will open at 4980 Big Island Drive in a two-tenant building that will include Visionworks.

BurgerFi is based in North Palm Beach. There are 45 locations open across the country, with plans for more than 70 by the end of the year.

The menu includes specialty items like Angus burgers, a crisp quinoa burger, Kobe beef hot dogs, gourmet toppings, desserts, craft beer and wine “and an overall focus on a healthier menu selection.”

Church’s Chicken to put up North Jacksonville location

Construction was approved for Church’s Chicken in North Jacksonville at 1855 Dunn Ave. Accelerated Contractors LLC will build the restaurant. The two permits issued Tuesday total a job cost of $723,180.

Hardee’s planned on Westside

Hardee’s is working toward a restaurant along Chaffee Road South, near Crystal Springs Road, according to a mobility fee calculation application filed with the city. The 3,037-square-foot restaurant is planned on 1.5 acres on the site, south of Interstate 10. Verdad Real Estate of Southlake, Texas, is listed as the agent/developer and Chaffee Road Village Commercial Venture LLC is the property owner.
