Hyperion Brewing open in Springfield

Hyperion Brewing Company opened Friday at 1744 N. Main St. in Springfield.

The 5,500-square-foot nano brewery features 15 rotating taps that will change based on customer feedback and sales trends. Those beers will be a mix of local brands as well as original recipes. Customers also can purchase can-style growlers for beer-to-go.

Hyperion is the first of three craft breweries expected to open in the Springfield neighborhood over the next year. Main & Six Brewing Company is targeting a fall opening. The 9th and Main gastropub and brewery seeks City Council approval toward a 2018 opening.

Hyperion is open 3-10 p.m. Wednesday- Friday; noon-10 p.m. Saturday; and 2-10 p.m. Sunday.


Baptist Health opens clinics at Walgreens

Baptist Health opened three Baptist Health clinics at Walgreens locations:

• 4297 Oldfield Crossing Drive in Mandarin.

• 1565 County Road 220 in Fleming Island.

• 860 Florida A1A N. in Ponte Vedra.

Walgreens previously managed the retail health clinics, which now are part of Baptist’s primary care and urgent care network.

The clinics, which provide care for adults and children age 5 and older, are open 8 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday-Friday and 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday-Sunday.

Conditions treated include colds, earaches, sore throats, coughs, skin conditions, sprains and common infections.


Hyatt completes more upgrades

The Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront hotel completed more upgrades after its renovation last year of all 951 guest rooms, corridors, the rooftop fitness center and Regency Club lounge.

The newest work includes a more contemporary front desk, a revamped grand ballroom and the installation of digital reader boards in multiple meeting spaces.

The revamped 28,000-square-foot grand ballroom includes new carpet and wall panels.

Gino Caliendo is the general manager.


Gregory, Hudson to lead apartment group

The First Coast Apartment Association installed its 2017 board of directors.

The executive committee president is Shannon Gregory WRH Realty; president-elect is April Hudson, Milestone Management; treasurer is Ken Furtaw, WRH Realty; secretary is Dorothy Palmer, Blue Rock Partners; associate vice president is Rick Biermann, REDI Carpet; and immediate past president is Katie Wrenn, Milestone Management.

The association, founded in 1979, serves the apartment industry in Duval, Clay, St. Johns, Flagler, Putnam and Nassau counties.

Its mission is to promote, inform and serve the apartment industry through education, legislation, and professional networking.

Teen to serve as Adecco ‘CEO for One Month’

Jacksonville-based Adecco Staffing USA chose Sydney Rieckhoff of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, as its 2017 CEO for One Month. Rieckhoff, at 13, started Great American Popcorn, which has grown into a half million dollar company.

As the CEO for a month, she earned a four-week internship to shadow Adecco Staffing USA President Joyce Russell and other business leaders this summer, including a $10,000 salary.

Forty-eight other countries and territories also launched the program.

Adecco Staffing’s parent company, The Adecco Group, will choose the most successful interns to advance toward the chance for a monthlong mentorship with The Adecco Group’s global CEO, Alain Dehaze.

Space Florida CEO to headline meeting

Frank DiBello, CEO of Space Florida and Florida Trend’s 2017 Floridian of the Year, will be the keynote speaker June 8 to the Clay County Economic Development Corp.

DiBello will speak to the economic development organization’s second-quarter luncheon at the Thrasher-Horne Conference Center in Orange Park.
