St. Johns County is a deed closer to a 120-pump gas station.

Buc-ee’s Ltd. bought 13.71 acres in St. Johns County for development of its proposed gas station and 52,600-square-foot convenience store off Interstate 95 at World Commerce and International Golf parkways.

Buc-ee’s bought the property from World Commerce Center LLP for $5.5 million Nov. 8, according to the St. Johns County Clerk of Court.

World Commerce Center LLP is part of Jacksonville-based Steinemann & Co. Steinemann-Wolfe LLC is the general partner of the LLP.

Buc-ee’s is based in Lake Jackson, Texas.

Buc-ee’s at St. Johns applied for a master development plan with the St. Johns County Growth Management Department to develop the project at southwest I-95 and International Golf Parkway in the World Commerce Center. England, Thims & Miller Inc. is the applicant.

Buc-ee’s intends to develop what has come to be known as a “Texas-size” gas station at 655 World Commerce Parkway in St. Augustine.

Buc-ee’s can start construction once it receives county approvals.
