The city issued a permit Sept. 2 for Auld & White Constructors LLC to remodel space for Turner Ace Hardware in former gym space at Cobblestone Crossing in the Fort Caroline area.

Auld & White will renovate almost 13,000 square feet of space in units 10-12 at the 2771 Monument Road center at a cost of $400,000.

Plans specify an almost 10,000-square-foot main sales area with indoor and outdoor garden sales, totaling about 13,000 square feet.

The tenant is listed as Turner Hardware Beaches Inc., led by President Michael D. Turner.

The space, vacated by Planet Fitness, is near anchor Publix Super Markets Inc.

The Shopping Center Group is the leasing representative for the owner of the retail plaza. A TSCG property brochure shows the center is fully leased.

The TSCG brochure also shows a Wingstop restaurant in the closed Taco Del Mar space next to Subway. The city is reviewing a permit for that build-out.

Stephanie McCullough and Kelly Pulignano with TSCG are the leasing agents.

"Both Ace Hardware and Wingstop have proven themselves to be successful throughout the COVID pandemic due to their offerings and business models, so we are thrilled to add them to the community," Pulignano said previously.

Planet Fitness relocated to a larger space at Southside Commons at 651 Commerce Center Drive.
