Jacksonville-based sports merchandise retailer Fanatics announced Sept. 11 it will hire 2,000 seasonal employees to staff its Jacksonville warehouse.
The Fanatics website lists seasonal position openings for night shift human resources associates and warehouse associates. The positions are based at its warehouse at 5245 Commonwealth Ave.
The company is hiring warehouse associates for both day and night shifts.
The job description for the human resource associate position says they would be responsible for ensuring employees clock in on time, manage HRIS systems and assist with new hire orientation.
Warehouse associates pick, prepare and ship orders for Fanatics’ e-commerce business.
Fanatics spokesman Seth Schlechter said pay is $13.50-$16 per hour and employees receive weekly paychecks. Benefit include a 40% discount on Fanatics products along with bonuses and other incentives.
Fanatics operates its East Coast headquarters in Jacksonville at 8100 Nations Way in Southside.
It opened its first store in 1990 at Orange Park Mall. It now operates 300 online and offline stores, including e-commerce for all major U.S. professional sports leagues including the NFL, MLB, NHL, MLS, NASCAR and the PGA Tour.
