Nordstrom plans April 23 ‘hiring day’

The fashion retailer has job openings at its Town Center area locations.

Fashion retailer Nordstorm Inc. announced April 20 it will hire “hundreds” of employees at its Florida stores, including Jacksonville.

Nordstrom plans a hiring day in the stores 11 a.m.-6  p.m. April 23.

Its online job postings show 15 Jacksonville positions, comprising 14 at the Nordstrom at St. Johns Town Center and one at Nordstrom Rack in The Markets at Town Center.

The Nordstrom jobs comprise stylists in women’s shoes and accessories, a visual merchandiser, sales and counter managers for beauty and makeup lines, loss prevention, and retail cashier and floor support in the store. It seeks employees for server, cook and busser positions in its restaurants.

A stock team opening is listed for Nordstrom Rack.

Seattle-based Nordstrom said it offers competitive pay, a 20% merchandise discount and benefits such as medical coverage, an employer-matched retirement plan and more.

For those attending the hiring day, Nordstrom said it requires and provides face coverings, conducts wellness checks and maintains social distancing guidelines.
