Amazon installing equipment at Imeson Park center

The 1 million-square-foot fulfillment facility is expected to be completed this fall.

Equipment is being installed at the Amazon.com fulfillment center under development at Imeson Park that will open this fall.

Indiana Industrial Services LLC will install a free-standing rack pick module at a project cost of $13.97 million.

The city issued a permit July 8 for the project at 10501 Cold Storage Road.

The 1,011,900-square-foot fulfillment center, estimated at a development cost of more than $100 million, will pick, pack and ship small items such as apparel, accessories and footwear.

VanTrust Real Estate LLC is the developer and Evans General Contractors LLC of Alpharetta, Georgia, is the contractor.

Seattle-based online retailer Amazon announced Sept. 2 that it will open the 500-job Jacksonville fulfillment center in fall 2021 in the North Jacksonville industrial center.
