Pet Supermarket is building-out in Dames Pointe Plaza in Arlington.

The city issued a permit Dec. 27 for R.E. Crawford Construction of Sarasota to make tenant improvements for Pet Supermarket at 6999 Merrill Road, No. 3, at a cost of $500,000.

It appears to be its 15th Pet Supermarket pet supplies and services store in Northeast Florida.

The 6,000-square-foot leased space is in the eastern end unit where Dunkin’ anchors the western unit. UPS takes the middle space.

The Shopping Center Group Partner Stephanie McCullough and Senior Vice President Kelly Pulignano represented the landlord, Triarch Capital Group, in the lease transaction.

Pet Supermarket has at least 14 locations in Jacksonville, Orange Park, St. Augustine, Ponte Vedra Beach, Fernandina Beach and Fruit Cove.

Dames Pointe Plaza, at northwest Merrill Road and Townsend Boulevard, is anchored by Publix Super Markets Inc.

Petsupermarket.com says the company, based in Sunrise, has more than 200 locations.

It sells food and supplies for dogs, cats, fish, birds, reptiles and small pets.

It offers services that include a self-serve dog wash, grooming, adoptions and VIP Petcare veterinary services.
