Jacksonville Area Legal Aid and the Jacksonville University College of Law are sponsoring a screening of the documentary, “A Decent Home,” at 5:30 p.m. March 6 in the Swisher Theater on JU’s Arlington campus at 2800 University Blvd. N.

Released in 2002 and directed by Sara Terry, the 86-minute film focuses on residents of a mobile home park who are determined to stay in the homes they own despite the challenge posed by private investors who acquire their park and then raise the rent on the lots.

It won the Karen Schmeer Award for Excellence in Documentary Editing at the 2022 Independent Film Festival of Boston.

The screening will be followed by a panel discussion with local housing attorneys.
