Saucy, a concept backed by KFC Corp. that sells chicken tenders with 11 sauces, announced it will open its second Northeast Florida location April 22.
In a news release, the chain says it plans an 11 a.m. opening for the new restaurant at 194 N. Florida Road 13 in Julington Creek. The first store in the region opened March 23 at 4816 Gate Parkway near St. Johns Town Center,
Another Saucy restaurant is planned at 3260 Hodges Blvd.

Both the Julington Creek and St. Johns Town Center locations are in former PDQ restaurants.
The opening event is expected to feature free swag bags, a sauce bar tasting, DJ, photo booth and food while supplies last.
The event is expected to include two new menu items.
DRIPS by Pepsi are four flavored drinks the news release called “bold, mood-inspired drinks.” They are exclusive to Saucy and include Pepsi Zero Sugar Salted Caramel Fizz, Mountain Dew Chili Chill, Tropicana Rainbox Splash Lemonade and PynkRaze Pop.

The Big Sammie is a partnership with King’s Hawaiian that features two tenders on a King’s sweet roll with greens and hash brown straws, topped with a choice of sauce.
Saucy is operated by KFC Corp., a subsidiary of Yum! Brands.
