The same day it opened, a Wawa in Macclenny sold for $4.34 million.
Wawa announced the store’s grand opening in a news release, making it the first Wawa in Baker County.
The store is at 9291 Florida 228, across from a Walmart Supercenter just north of Interstate 10.
Represented by commercial real estate brokerage firm Marcus & Millichap, Tampa-based Wagner Property Group, through WPG-Macclenny LLC, sold the property. Commercial real estate website Crexi showed it listed for $4.53 million.
The buyer listed on the deed was Hollywood-based Macclenny 2026 LLC, which shares its address with Eisinger Law’s main office.
The St. Johns River Water Management District began its review of the 5,537-square-foot convenience store with fueling pumps in December 2024. CPH LLC was the civil engineer, while Universal Engineering Sciences served as the geotechnical engineer. Both have offices in Jacksonville.
Site plans show eight fueling stations, indicating 16 fuel pumps.
Baker County building permits showing project costs were not readily available.
Marcus & Millichap has previously represented Wawa acquisitions, according to the brokerage’s website.
