A Tampa-based developer announced July 6 it is planning a center for retail, dining, entertainment and community events in Nocatee.
Center Connect Development said in a news release that its 63,225-square-foot The Hub at Nocatee will be near the Publix in the Marketplace at Nocatee and west of Valley Ridge Boulevard South. Plans call for a 2028 opening, the release said.
The company has built two similar concepts – The Hub at Bexley in Land O’Lakes and The Hub at Lexington Oaks in Wesley Chapel.
Businesses at those developments include pet grooming, martial art studios, barbershops, escape rooms, nail salons, a candle bar and golf simulators.
Dining options include ice cream shops, sports bars and restaurants specializing in cuisines including Indian, Vietnamese and Caribbean.
Plans include an open-air courtyard with outdoor seating, weekend live music and events. The conceptual site plan includes multiple retail buildings arranged around the central gathering space, along with dedicated golf cart parking.
The Hub at Nocatee is not connected with the The Hub Brooklyn, which opened in January at 400 Riverside Ave., owner Mark Janasik said in a text. That three-level establishment at 400 Riverside Ave. comprises three restaurants: a Southern Grounds coffee shop; a Mediterranean-themed full-service restaurant called Alder & Oak; and Zorba’s Bar, a rooftop bar with appetizers and views of the city’s skyline and the St. Johns River.
