Jacksonville International Airport continues to build-out commercial space as four new travel essentials stores are in review for completion coinciding with the year-end opening of Concourse B.
The city is reviewing a permit for the estimated $650,000 build-out of about 500 square feet of space on the baggage claim level for the Five Points General Store.
Beaches @ Jax, Postcards from Jacksonville, Seven Bridges Marketplace and Five Points General Store will open throughout the airport to sell travel essentials, locally made items and brands including Lego, Toys “R” Us and Sweet Pete’s Candy.
Five Points General Store is planned at baggage claim and the others are in Concourse B.

As part of the development of Concourse B, the Jacksonville Aviation Authority negotiated for restaurants and retailers to build-out and lease space in the six-gate addition and at baggage claim.
Merchandise will include the typical flying fare of grab-and-go foods, snacks, drinks, apparel, blankets, electronics, cups and tumblers, reading material and other items that might be considered necessities by those who travel.
The four travel essentials tenants in permit review are:
• Seven Bridges Marketplace, at an estimated project cost of almost $2.2 million. The 3,949-square-foot project comprises a 3,563-square foot shop and 386 square feet of remote storage. The shop is at the entrance of Concourse B.

• The Beaches @JAX, at an estimated cost of almost $1.16 million. The 1,452-square-foot project comprises a 1,054-square-foot shop near the entrance to Concourse B, along with 398 square feet of remote storage.
• Postcards from Jacksonville, at an estimated $1.62 million. The 1,901-square-foot space comprises the 1,432-square-foot shop and 469 square feet of storage space. The shop is near the end of Concourse B.
• Five Points General Store, at an estimated project cost of $650,000. The 500-square-foot project is in the baggage claim area on the north side of the entrance.
The shops will be operated by WHSmith, which works with airport landlords to bring in retail stores.
As for food, Host International Inc. will manage the concourse’s 3,814-square-foot Oak & Ocean Food Hall, under construction at a project cost of nearly $6.3 million.
The JAA board has approved lease agreements to bring Cantina Louie Mexican Street Food, Chick-fil-A, Panda Express, Pura Bean Coffee Co., Salt & Tide, V Pizza and Willie Jewell’s Old School Bar-B-Q to Concourse B.

Construction on the $344 million, 186,733-square-foot, three-level Concourse B began in July 2024.
Balfour Beatty Construction LLC of Orlando is the construction manager. Jacobs Engineering of Gainesville is the lead design engineer and Jacksonville-based RS&H Inc. is the architectural subcontractor.
The North Jacksonville airport is at 2400 Yankee Clipper Drive.
