SoFresh is planning to open a St. Augustine location July 30 at the Publix-anchored SilverLeaf Marketplace shopping center.
St. Johns County issued a build-out permit April 2 for the 1,450-square-foot restaurant at 1985 SilverLeaf Parkway, Suite 107, at a cost of $374,204.
The restaurant offers bowls, wraps, salads, proteins, smoothies and other made-to-order items.
With the opening of the SilverLeaf location, the SoFresh count will reach 27 locations in Florida and Pennsylvania.
The restaurant is the second SoFresh location owned and operated by franchisees Jeff and Amanda LaConte.
The couple opened their first SoFresh on April 14 at 505 Durbin Pavilion Drive, Suite 101, at The Pavilion at Durbin Park shopping center. Build-out costs for that 1,894-square-foot location were $200,000.
A third Northeast Florida location, not franchised by the LaContes, operates in Jacksonville at 4495 Roosevelt Blvd., Suite 308.
To celebrate the grand opening in St. Augustine, in-store purchases will be offered at a 50% discount throughout the day, according to a news release. There will also be giveaways and samples.
The restaurant will be open daily from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Other signed tenants in SilverLeaf Marketplace include Avalon Nails, which is also planned to open the week of July 27, Club Pilates, burger restaurant M Shack and UPS.
Avalon Nails received a build-out permit Feb. 23 for a 2,400-square-foot space at a cost of $150,000. M Shack was issued a build-out permit July 17 for its 3,300-square-foot space at a cost of $650,000.
Dunkin’ and Fifth Third Bank are planned as outparcels at the shopping center north of SilverLeaf Parkway and west of St. Johns Parkway, near the age-restricted Reverie at TrailMark community. Both projects are advancing through permitting.
Publix opened its 55,700-square-foot store March 26.
