Jacksonville-based Tom Nehl Truck Co. announced June 18 it established a presence in the Northeast by acquiring a commercial truck dealership in Massachusetts.
In a news release, Nehl said its acquisition of Boston Freightliner brought together two companies that “share a common cultural foundation as family-owned businesses built on long-term relationships with employees, customers, partners and the communities they serve.”
Boston Freightliner is a full-service dealership with locations in the Massachusetts cities of Everett and Brockton, the release said.
Lauren Scheible, executive vice president and co-dealer principal of Tom Nehl Truck Co., said the company would build on the foundation built by Boston Freightliner “while bringing additional resources and expanded support to customers throughout the area.”
Boston Freightliner is co-owned by brothers Frank and Anthony Vigorito, according to its website.
Frank Vigorito, the company’s president, said in a release that Nehl “shares our long-standing commitment to customers, employees and the community. We believe this partnership will provide our team with the resources and support needed to continue growing while preserving the values that have made Boston Freightliner successful.”
The price and terms of the acquisition are undisclosed.
