As Jacksonville International Airport’s Concourse B aims toward a year-end completion, the city issued a permit July 31 for build-out of The Club JAX.
Auld & White Constructors LLC of Jacksonville is the contractor for the almost $3.07 million build-out of 6,133 square feet of space for the club that is open to daily visitors for a fee.
The Jacksonville Aviation Authority approved plans Sept. 29 for shared lounge The Club JAX to open in a new location and more than double in size at the North Jacksonville airport.
The Club JAX, along with the airport food court, closed in August 2024 to make way for Concourse B construction. The 2,725-square-foot club opened in 2018.
The lounge will be developed and managed by Airport Dimensions, part of London-based Collinson Group, which operates 31 clubs across the United States.
The company will lease the space for 12 years and must spend at least $4.5 million on leasehold improvements, according to a JAA staff report presented to the board at its Sept. 29 meeting.
The report states construction is scheduled to begin in summer 2026, with a targeted opening the following year.
Concourse B, a $344 million project, is on track for a December 2026 opening, JAA Chief Operating Officer Tony Cugno told the board.
Planned just past the security checkpoint, the lounge will be built on an elevated mezzanine accessible via two elevators or stairs. Plans call for 131 seats, up from 52. The day rate at the old club was $40, with discounts for Priority Pass, LoungeKey and Lounge Club members. A potential new rate was not discussed at the meeting.
Under the lease terms, Airport Dimensions will operate under a gross revenue model payable to JAA:
• Years one and two: 8%
• Years three through seven: 10%
• Years eight through 12: 12%
