During Friday’s 19th Annual Mayor’s Environmental Luncheon, Mayor John Peyton presented Quinton White, Marine Science Research Institute at Jacksonville University executive director and longtime JU faculty member, with the Mayor’s Award. The annual awards were themed “Attracting Green Business to Jacksonville” and were attended by businesses, groups and individuals to celebrate environmental accomplishments. “It’s a time where all of the environmental stewards from all across the city come together to celebrate important achievements,” said Peyton.
