Ponte Vedra Inn & Club, The Lodge & Club, The River Club and Epping Forest Yacht & Country Club scheduled a hiring fair to fill at least 97 hospitality positions.

The event is 10 a.m.-2 p.m. May 15 at the Ponte Vedra Inn & Club Conference Center at 200 Ponte Vedra Blvd. in Ponte Vedra.

Jacksonville-based Gate Hospitality is the parent company of the resorts and clubs.

The list of positions is available at https://www.hospitalityonline.com/gate-hospitality-group/jobs and includes 59 openings at the Ponte Vedra Inn & Country Club and 24 at The Lodge & Club, both in Ponte Vedra Beach.

In Jacksonville, there are 12 openings at Epping Forest and two at The River Club Downtown.

Gate Hospitality said it offers top pay, health care insurance, a 401(k) plan, flexible scheduling, company-provided uniforms, training and more.

Benefits depend on employment status.

COVID-19 health and safety precautions will be in effect throughout the hiring event. Attendees are required to wear face coverings and maintain a distance of 6 feet to comply with social distancing.

Parking will be free.

In May 2020, as the pandemic shut down the economy, Gate Hospitality Group notified the state it permanently laid off 141 employees and temporarily furloughed more than 700 at the four Northeast Florida resort and hospitality properties.

Gate Petroleum Co. spokesperson Misty Skipper said May 12 that Gate brought some back.

“In the months that followed, we rehired the majority of individuals who had a desire to return to work at the clubs. Some chose not to return as they had found other employment, moved or did not wish to return to a role we had available at the time,” Skipper said.
