Jacksonville-based Prosser acquired by PRIME AE Group

PRIME AE Group Inc. announced Jan. 20 it acquired Jacksonville-based planning and engineering firm Prosser Inc. 

Headquartered in Baltimore, PRIME AE is an engineering and architecture firm. 

“The firms share a similar culture, complementary capabilities and a passion for client and community service. We look forward to continuing to develop as an employer of choice with the addition of Prosser,” said PRIME AE President and CEO Kumar Buvanendaran in a news release.

Prosser, founded in 1984, is based in Sutton Place at Windsor Parke. Its recent projects include the Ascension St. Vincent’s hospital in St. Johns County and the Amazon JAX9 sortation center at AllianceFlorida at Cecil Commerce Center.

PRIME AE is owned by NewHold AEC, a New York-based private investment firm with a focus on industrial and business services companies.

“The partnership between these two teams will enable expanded opportunities for all team members.”

The news release did not disclose financial information about the deal. PRIME AE said this is its fourth acquisition in the past four years.

Founded in 2007, PRIME AE says it operates in nine states and has more than 400 employees in 18 offices on the U.S. Eastern Seaboard.
