JBA member meeting canceled

Most local Bar events canceled or postponed.

For the safety of its members and staff, the Jacksonville Bar Association canceled its member meeting and luncheon scheduled March 25.

In addition, all JBA committee meetings, CLEs and other events scheduled through March 31 are canceled or postponed.

“Nothing is happening in person,” said JBA Executive Director Craig Shoup.

Some committee meetings may be conducted online, he said.

Also:

The Jacksonville Women Lawyers Association member meeting and luncheon scheduled March 19 is canceled.

The public reception for the American Bar Association 19th Amendment exhibit scheduled March 24 at the Duval County Courthouse is canceled.

The JBA Young Lawyers Section happy hour scheduled March 25 is canceled.

The investiture of Duval County Judge R. Anthony Salem scheduled March 26 is postponed until further notice.

Shoup said members may visit jaxbar.org for information about how to participate in virtual meetings and updates on additional cancellations or postponements and rescheduled events.
