Retail Notes: Goodwill opens in Durbin, Ulta is coming; Dollar General adding locations

Family Dollar wants to rezone property in Northwest Jacksonville.

Goodwill Industries of North Florida Inc. opened a 16,000-square-foot store and drive-thru donation center at 1115 St Johns Parkway in the second phase of Parkway Place in St. Johns County.

The Piedmont Companies of Florida developed the store and Bush Construction Co. Inc. built it. It is Goodwill’s eighth flagship store and employs 25 people.

Ulta at Durbin Park

 St. Johns County approved interior build-out for Ulta Beauty in 10,790 square feet at 675 Durbin Pavilion Drive, Suite 108, in The Pavilion at Durbin Park at a cost of $457,000. 

Dollar Generals

 Dollar General is planning for locations on North Main Street and in West Jacksonville and Northwest Jacksonville.

The city is reviewing permit applications for Dollar General at 5875 N. Main St. at a cost of $409,089. Concept Construction of North Florida Inc. of Gainesville is the contractor for the 9,100-square-foot store.

Concept Development Inc. is the developer. Concept Development also plans a 9,187-square-foot store on 2 acres at 10740 Normandy Blvd.

Meanwhile, JEA received a service availability request for a 10,640-square-foot Concept Development retail store a 2305 Edgewood Ave. N.

Family Dollar to Northwest Jacksonville

The developer of Family Dollar stores wants to rezone 1.46 acres at northwest Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway and Canal Street.

Twin Rivers Capital, through TRC Canal LLC, applied to rezone the property to planned unit development.

It proposes a 9,180-square-foot store. Twin Rivers Capital is based in Charleston, South Carolina.
