The company planning to develop Edison, one of the first two neighborhoods in eTown, submitted permit applications to the city to build three model homes.

National homebuilder Toll Brothers proposes to build the three models on what appear to be adjacent lots, according to site plans.

The projects are labeled Edison 114, 115 and 116 and correspond to home lot numbers in Edison, a community planned for 265 single-family homes.

Homes in Edison will start in the high-$300,000s with one- or two-story designs from 2,500 square feet to more than 4,000 square feet.

Edison 114 is a two-story, 4,477-square-feet model labeled “The Abigail” at 11289 Madelynn Drive. It features four bedrooms and 5½ bathrooms, a covered entry, lanai, two-car garage and a separate one-car garage. The job cost is shown as $260,000.

Edison 115 is “The Anna Maria,” at 11295 Madelynn Drive. The two-story, 3,131 square foot model has four bedrooms and 3½ bathrooms. It features a lanai, covered entry and a three-car garage. The job cost is $185,000.

Edison 116 at 11301 Madelynn Drive is 3,297 square feet with four bedrooms and four baths. It has a job cost of $180,000.

Toll Brothers and David Weekley Homes bought property for development in eTown, which primarily is east of I-295 and Florida 9B, with some property to the west.

David Weekley Homes and ICI Homes are partnering to build homes in the other neighborhood, called Marconi. Home there will start in the mid-$300,000s.

The eTown mixed-use community comprises 1,478 acres in southern Duval County.

Previous announcements said Edison and Marconi will open in summer 2019.

Other residential builders also have plans for eTown. Catalyst Development Partners will build apartments and Pulte bought property but has not announced plans.
