Six nominees to replace retiring judge sent to Gov. Rick Scott

List includes a circuit judge, a county judge, a magistrate and 3 attorneys.

The 4th Judicial Circuit Nominating Commission completed Wednesday afternoon the remaining interviews of the 18 applicants to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Circuit Judge Robert Foster.

Following deliberations and consideration, the commission sent the names of six nominees to Gov. Rick Scott:

• Duval County Judge Lester Bass

• Attorney Michael Fackler

• 17th Judicial Circuit Judge Charles Greene

• General Magistrate Robin Lanigan

• Attorney Rhonda Peoples-Waters

• Attorney David Tucker

Interviews of each candidate by the governor's staff will be scheduled in Tallahassee. Scott has up to 60 days to select a replacement for Foster, or request additional nominees from the commission.
