Ash Properties is working on The Palms at Gate Parkway, a 119,362-square-foot retail and office center at northwest Gate Parkway and Burnt Mill Road, near Butler Boulevard and Interstate 295.

The city approved site clearing for the 15.45-acre site at a cost of $10,000. Ash Construction LLC is the contractor for the clearing and the construction.

The Palms, at 7490-7570 Gate Parkway, will feature office space, retail shops, restaurants and a self-storage center.

Ash Properties applied to the city for a permit to build the four-story, 120,936-square-foot self-storage building. Ash Construction LLC is the contractor for the $711,936 project.

A site brochure shows three two-story office-retail buildings. Two are about 33,360 square feet and another about 52,386 square feet, along with the self-storage center.

The St. Johns River Water Management District is reviewing plans for the project.
