Development notes: The Happy Grilled Cheese in permitting; eTown takes step

Allstate approved for renovation of San Pablo campus; Woodforest National Bank adding locations.

The Happy Grilled Cheese is in permitting for its second restaurant.

The first is Downtown and the second will be at 9965 San Jose Blvd. in the Merchants Walk shopping center.

Owner Anthony Hashem applied for a certificate of use there. No opening date is determined. It started as a food truck concept and continues to operate.

Etown in Southeast Duval

The city issued a city development number for the eTown amenity center planned along E-Town Parkway.

The center includes a build a pool, restroom facility, dog park, playground, yoga lawn and event lawn to serve the eTown community, which is east of Florida 9B in southeast Duval County.

Allstate in San Pablo

Allstate Insurance Co. was approved for a $2.25 million renovation of almost 25,000 square feet at its San Pablo campus.

M.A. Mortenson Co. is the contractor for project on three floors of a five-story, almost 52,000-square-foot building at Allstate’s campus at 4920 San Pablo Road S.

Woodforest Banks at Walmart stores

The city is reviewing permit applications for the remodeling and conversion of space for Woodforest National Bank locations in three area Walmart Supercenters.

J. Lane Construction LLC is the contractor for the banks in 6767 103rd St., 7075 Collins Road and 9890 Hutchinson Park Drive.

The projects total $201,578. Woodforest already has offices in Walmart stores at 4250 Philips Highway, 6830 Normandy Blvd. and 12100 Lem Turner Road.
