Offerpad to launch in Jacksonville in January

Arizona-based Offerpad announced Tuesday it will buy and sell homes in Jacksonville starting in January.

Offerpad is an iBuyer company that buys and sells homes directly. It says homesellers can get a cash offer in 24 hours.

Similar companies operating in Jacksonville include Opendoor and Zillow Offers.

“Jacksonville is a strong real estate market with a promising local economy,” said Vaughn Stewart, Offerpad’s Market Director in Orlando said in a news release. “Offerpad intends to meet the demand and exceed the expectations of even more Florida home buyers and sellers who are looking for the best in customized real estate options.”

Offerpad operates in Orlando and Tampa in Florida and in Arizona, Texas, Georgia, Nevada and North Carolina. The company, headquartered in Gilbert, Arizona, was founded in 2015.

Offerpad also says it is hiring in Jacksonville and seeking vendors for home renovation work.
