Retail notes: Prime Car Wash to Beach Boulevard; Publix to remodel two stores

The city issued a permit for construction of the Prime Car Wash at 14190 Beach Blvd. at a cost of $2.64 million.

The 11,212-square-foot car wash comprises a wash tunnel, finishing bay and offices.

FLBB LLC bought the property Oct. 17 for $1.4 million. Atlantic Capital Bank of Atlanta issued a $1.65 million mortgage. Prime Car Wash Florida LLC is led by Zachary Bruker, who also leads FLBB LLC.

The site is a former Sunoco gas station. Prime Car Wash operates a location in Mandarin at 11860 San Jose Blvd.

Its concept is a “flex service car wash,” which allows the services of a traditional full-service car wash along with the services of an exterior-only car wash.  

Boulevard Crossing

The city is reviewing a permit application for construction of a 5,286-square-foot building at 5753 Beach Blvd. in Boulevard Crossing at a cost of $928,000. Boulevard Crossing is the infill redevelopment at northwest Beach and University boulevards at the former Kmart site. McDonald’s Corp. also is building on the site. It plans a 4,388-square-foot restaurant at a cost of $800,000.

Publix at Normandy, Atlantic

 The city issued a permit for Elkins Construction LLC to remodel the Publix Super Markets Inc. store at 7749 Normandy Blvd. at Normandy Crossing at a cost of $750,000. It also issued a permit for Elkins to renovate the Publix at 5858 Atlantic Blvd. in the Arlington River center at $750,000.

Barron Tire to Merrill

David Barron Tire Outlet Direct LLC intends to build a 6,220-square-foot tire store on 1.33 acres along Merrill Road at Buck Business Park in Arlington. The city issued an expedited mobility fee calculation certificate for the project.
